Prospective Clients Often Ask
Honest answers to the questions people usually bring to that first conversation, and a few they're often too nervous to ask outright.
What therapy works best for narcissistic abuse recovery?
Every client is different, but recovery generally requires more than standard talk therapy. Trauma informed, nervous system aware approaches like EMDR, alongside a therapist who genuinely understands the specific mechanics of coercive control, tend to produce the deepest and most lasting change. This is why I built my practice around specialized modalities rather than a one size fits all approach.
How long does recovery from narcissistic abuse typically take?
I'm honest with every client about this. Recovery isn't usually quick, and I'd rather tell you that upfront than let you feel behind later. What I can promise is a clear, structured path forward, and formats like intensives that can meaningfully accelerate the timeline compared to weekly sessions alone.
What actually happens in a therapy intensive?
We spend extended, uninterrupted time together, often a half day or full day, working through something specific instead of circling it across many separate sessions. Together we'll design the structure ahead of time based on what you need, and most clients leave with more clarity and relief than months of standard sessions typically provide.
Is psychedelic assisted therapy safe, and who is it right for?
When it's held with real clinical structure, which is the only way I offer it, yes. Every session involves careful preparation, full support throughout, and integration work afterward, so what surfaces actually becomes lasting change. It tends to be especially useful for clients who understand their story intellectually but haven't felt it shift, and it's not the right starting point for every client. We'll determine that together.
What if I need more support than weekly therapy alone can offer?
That's exactly what my team based care model exists for. When a family, a couple, or an individual needs more than one clinician, I build a coordinated team around your actual circumstances, sometimes as a genuine alternative to residential treatment or intensive outpatient programs. You get real individualization, and the chance to practice life with support still fully in place.
Do you only work with clients in Boca Raton?
My office is in Boca Raton, and many clients see me there in person. I also work virtually and lead retreats in other locations, so distance rarely needs to be the reason someone doesn't reach out.
I'm not in crisis. Can I still reach out?
Absolutely. Some of the most important work I do isn't crisis driven at all. It's with people who are functioning well on the outside and simply know something underneath isn't resolved yet. You don't need to be falling apart to deserve this level of care.
How do I know if we're a good fit?
Reach out through the contact form or my email, and we'll have an honest conversation about what's going on and what you're looking for. If I'm not the right therapist for your situation, I'll tell you that plainly and do my best to point you somewhere better suited.
