Couples & Relationship Therapy in Boca Raton, FL

Relationships don't struggle because people stop caring. They struggle because old patterns begin speaking louder than good intentions.

Whether you're feeling disconnected, caught in the same conflict again and again, or navigating the effects of trauma, compulsive behaviors, or personality dynamics, couples therapy offers the opportunity to understand what's happening beneath the surface and create lasting change.

Through an individualized approach, I help couples move beyond recurring conflict toward greater connection, honesty, and emotional safety.

Every Relationship Develops Patterns

Most couples aren't arguing about what they think they're arguing about.

Over time, each partner develops ways of protecting themselves during conflict.

Many of these responses were shaped by childhood experiences, family systems, or earlier relationships. While they may have helped at one time, they often become barriers to intimacy, trust, and genuine connection later in life.

In relationship therapy, we'll identify those patterns, understand where they came from, and begin creating healthier ways of relating to one another.

My Approach to Couples Therapy

Meaningful relationship therapy requires more than simply helping each partner feel heard.

My work is informed by Relational Life Therapy (RLT), an active, collaborative approach that helps couples move beyond repetitive cycles of conflict and toward greater accountability, honesty, and connection.

Rather than remaining neutral when unhealthy patterns appear, we'll work together to understand the behaviors that are keeping the relationship stuck while creating practical, lasting change.

Healing isn't about deciding who's right. It's about helping the relationship become healthier than either person's protective patterns.

High-Conflict  Relationships

When conflict becomes the norm, it can feel impossible to find your way back to one another. Together, we'll identify the patterns beneath the arguments and create healthier ways of communicating.

Infidelity & Rebuilding Trust

Healing after betrayal takes time, honesty, and a willingness to understand what happened beneath the surface. Therapy provides a structured space to rebuild trust and move forward with clarity.

Every relationship has its own story. While no two couples are the same, many come to therapy experiencing one or more of the following:

Couples I Work With

Communication Challenges

Feeling unheard, misunderstood, or emotionally disconnected can quietly erode even the strongest relationships. Therapy helps create space for honest conversations and meaningful connection.

Personality Dynamics

Strong personality traits, compulsive behaviors, or long-standing relational patterns can create barriers to intimacy. With curiosity and accountability, these dynamics can be understood and transformed.

Trauma & Relationship Healing

Unresolved trauma often influences how we relate to the people we love most. Together, we'll explore how past experiences may be shaping the present and work toward lasting healing.

Life Transitions & Family Stress

Career changes, parenting, caregiving, blended families, or other major life transitions can place unexpected strain on a relationship. Therapy can help you navigate these changes with greater resilience and connection.

Narcissistic Traits & Relationship Dynamics

Personality dynamics can have a profound impact on a relationship, particularly when traits such as defensiveness, control, emotional withdrawal, grandiosity, or chronic criticism begin to shape the way partners relate to one another.

While only a small number of individuals meet the diagnostic criteria for Narcissistic Personality Disorder, many relationships are affected by narcissistic traits or other longstanding personality patterns that make communication and emotional safety difficult.

These dynamics often exist alongside unresolved trauma, compulsive behaviors, or attachment wounds, creating cycles that feel impossible to break. Therapy focuses on understanding the patterns beneath the conflict, developing greater insight, and creating healthier ways of relating without shame or blame.

Couples Therapy Intensives

Some relationships benefit from the depth and momentum that extended therapy sessions can provide.

Couples therapy intensives offer dedicated time to work through longstanding patterns, rebuild communication, and address complex issues that may be difficult to explore within the limits of a traditional weekly session. This format allows for deeper exploration, fewer interruptions, and the opportunity to make meaningful progress over a shorter period of time.

Intensives may be particularly beneficial for couples navigating high-conflict relationships, betrayal, personality dynamics, major life transitions, or periods of significant disconnection.

Healthy Relationships Aren't Found. They're Built.

Strong relationships aren't free from conflict. They're built through honesty, accountability, repair, and a willingness to grow together.

Whether you're navigating a difficult season or hoping to strengthen an already meaningful relationship, therapy can provide the space to begin.
